Zeigler Louisiana Ham Glaze
1 Zeigler Tender Smoked Ham

Cloves

1 (12 oz.) Coke or Dark Colored Beverage

3/4 - 1 c. Bourbon

1 T. Bitters

1 tsp. Cinnamon

2 boxes Dark Brown Sugar

2 - 4 T. Dijon Mustard

 

Mix all ingredients together in an electric skillet. Simmer until mixture melts and begins to thicken. Score Zeigler Tender Smoked Ham and place cloves in middle of little diamond shapes. Brush with Dijon mustard. Bake ham for 30 min. Pour 1/2 of mixture over ham and bake at 325° for 20 minutes per pound. Use drippings to baste during baking. When ham is done, you may pour the remainder of mixture over ham and bake 25 minutes more.

Note: 1 c orange juice may be used in place of bourbon
